Coffee time: Home

Being freelance there's nothing quite like coffee time at home!

BRISTOL: PINKMANS

BRISTOL: PINKMANS

I like to start any city tour with a strong coffee (and preferably cake.) Bristol is a city with a vibrant coffee culture, which makes choosing a cafe all the more difficult but means I can return more often....all in the cause of research, of course! Pinkman's is one of my favourites, listed by The Sunday Times as one of the best bakeries in the UK....

INDEPENDENT IN BATH

INDEPENDENT IN BATH

Bath has long been a popular destination for retail therapy. To me it's the independent shops that really make a city and give it a unique identity. I have listed here some of my most-loved independent stores. The best way to explore Bath is on foot, so mooch around the picturesque lanes and Georgian terraces and discover your own favourites. . .

coffee time: bath

The South West, and Bath in particular has some of the highest profile baristas in the UK. In the past London may have been the coffee capital now however, interest has shifted to The South West with wonderful quality artisan coffee being roasted, brewed and served. I have included in this guide some of my favourite places to spend coffee time, I hope you enjoy my recommendations.

BATH: ON THE GO

BATH: ON THE GO

Get up and go, see the beautiful city of Bath from a different angle. A distant view on the skyline walk or an ariel view from the tower of Bath Abbey. I have listed some ideas here, including of course some of my favourite places to eat or drink on the go....

BATH: LIKE A TOURIST

Take some time out, be a tourist in your own city, wherever you live. I have listed here some places that I have discovered or re-discovered in my home city....

Bath: WATER

Water is the heart of the city of Bath. The springs deliver over a million litres every day. Hot and rich in minerals it has attracted people for thousands of years. I have listed in my guide suggestions for where in Bath you can enjoy the waters today.

BATH: TIME

BATH: TIME

Bath is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its natural hot springs and beautiful Georgian architecture. I always enjoy having a coffee before I visit a cultural centre, so alongside my suggestions of cultural sites to visit I have recommended a coffee shop or restaurant nearby...
